In 1828 William Crockford established his own gaming club in the fashionable St James’ district of London. William was very particular in selecting a building of grandeur to ensure his guests would experience the most luxurious and comfortable surroundings in which to enjoy the highest standards of gaming, together with the finest food and wine imported from around the globe.
This attention to detail and the fabulous facilities naturally attracted the cream of society and it is notable that membership No 1 was awarded to the then Duke of Wellington.
Today the modern Crockfords is renowned across the world, and continues to emulate the William Crockford’s original vision. Situated in the heart of Mayfair, it’s truly a club of splendour and elegance fit for royalty, diplomats and the aristocratic elite.
Crockfords Cairo opened its doors in 2016, and has brought William Crockford’s vision to life for the first time in the Middle East.
